Mihai Noroc - Biography

Studies and Professional Activity

Born on August 11, 1961 in Ustia Village in the Republic of Moldova.

1972 - 1979: "I. Vieru" High School of Plastic Arts.

1979 - 1980: He took further classes to improve his skills at I. Repin St.Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting.

1987: Mihai Noroc, the painter, graduated from Art and Design Faculty of the State Pedagogical University "I. Creanga".

1987 - 1994: After graduation he became a lecturer in the same institution until 1994.

1989: He is promoted as a member of the Moldovan Union of Young Plastic Artists.

1990: Due to his active participation in the Republican exhibitions, he became a member of the Moldovan Union of Plastic Artists.


1990 - 1991: He is attending various exhibitions of his work in the Republic of Moldova and also in Romania and many of his works were taken by the Moldovan Museum of State. During this time he was also an intern at "N. Grigorescu" Academy from Bucharest for two years where he was remarked due to this special style of painting.

1996: Due to this period, he is awarded and accepted as a member of Romanian Union of Plastic Artists, where he is still a member.

1991 - 2011: Throughout the time, he exhibited his works in Russia, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Germany, France and United States of America.

His works are included in the Art Galleries from the Moldavian Museum of Plastic Art and the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art.

In Romania, he exhibited his works at: Avant-Post, Suțu Museum, Museum of Literature and in other cities like: Bacău, Constanța and Brașov.
